Stop Motion is one of the oldest techniques utilized in animation film to breath life into inanimate objects. Often intricate creations come to life and move about on the screen in a process that requires painstaking attention to detail. It was first used over one hundred years ago, in 1897, by Albert E. Smith and J. Stuart Blackton, known for the first silent film that included animated sequences.
