Academy Award winner Ron Howard returns to direct the latest bestseller in Dan Brown’s (Da Vinci Code) billion-dollar Robert Langdon series ‘Inferno’. While not a horror film but a suspense thriller, the feature borrows it’s title from Dante Alighierie’s 14th century masterpiece ‘Inferno’ which also plays a central role in the film. ‘Inferno’ finds the famous symbologist, again played by Tom Hanks, on a trail of clues tied to the great Dante himself. When Langdon wakes up in an Italian hospital with amnesia, he teams up with Sienna Brooks (Felicity Jones), a doctor he hopes will help him recover his memories. Together, they race across Europe and against the clock to foil a deadly global plot.
Directed by Ron Howard, the film’s screenplay is by David Koepp, based upon the novel by Dan Brown. Starring Tom Hanks, Felicity Jones, Irrfan Khan, Omar Sy, Ben Foster, Sidse and Babett Knudsen. Brian Grazer and Ron Howard are the producers with David Householter, Dan Brown, William M. Connor, Anna Culp and Ben Waisbren serving as executive producers.
‘Inferno is scheduled for release on October 28 this year (2016).
