Phoenix Comicon is adding more and more pop culture celebrities to an already long list of media guests. Next on this list are James Marsters, aka. punk-goth vampire Spike from the TV show ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’, and Sean Astin who portrayed Mikey in Steven Spielberg’s ‘The Goonies’. Sean Astin is well known for playing the title role in the critically acclaimed Rudy, for this film debut portraying Mikey in Steven Spielberg’s ‘The Goonies’, and for the beloved Sam Gamgee in all installments of the Academy Award winning trilogy ‘The Lord of the Rings’; ‘The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring’, ‘The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers’, and ‘The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King’.
James Marsters became a fan favorite around the world when he played the wildly popular Spike, the punk-goth vampire of the critically acclaimed TV show ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’. After six seasons on ‘Buffy’, he continued the role of Spike on the equally popular spin-off ‘Angel’. Marsters has also attracted industry-wide attention for his work. He has received numerous nominations and awards, including the Spacey Award, the Saturn Award, the Cinescape Face of the Future Award, the Golden Satellite Award, and the Teen Choice Award.

Quantities of Full Event badges are limited. Full event passes are on sale for US-$60 until April 30, with Sidekick badges for kids 3 to 12 years of age, available for only US-$5 through the event
