NEWS: Jason Hull’s ‘Krampus: The Christmas Devil’ to Premiere in November

Jason Hull’s ‘Krampus: The Christmas Devil’, starring independent film icon Bill Oberst Jr. and Rich Goteri will premiere at the Erie Playhouse on 13 W 10th Street in Erie/PA on November 2 at 8:00pm. Come on inside for details and the official trailer.

‘Krampus: The Christmas Devil’ is based on European mythology and folklore, dating back to 17th century. Krampus is believed to be Saint Nick’s evil brother and therefore, unlike his benevolent brother, bringing wrath on children who misbehave. The story of the film follows the life of Jeremy, who escapes the monster as a child. He grows up to become a police officer working to find missing children, only to stumble upon the very same monster of his youth again as an adult. Jeremy learns that the monster is after his daughter, and the plot thickens when Brian Hatt (Bill Oberst Jr.) is released from prison and is now set on taking revenge on Jeremy.
‘Krampus: The Christmas Devil’, which was entirely filmed locally, is Jason Hull’s third feature film. Both of his prior feature works, ‘Chasing Darkness’, and ‘The Four’, have secured international distribution. His short film ‘Pole Position’ screened at the Cannes Short Film Festival in 2008. ‘Krampus’ was awarded Runner-Up Best Horror Film at both the 2013 Cleveland Indie Gathering and the Action on Film Film Festival in Monrovia, CA. ‘Krampus: The Christmas Devil’ is currently in negotiations with for distribution.
The premiere of the film is open to the public. Tickets cost $8.00 in pre-sale with proceeds to benefit the Orphan Angels Animal Shelter. Preorders of ‘Krampus: The Christmas Devil’on DVD and Blu-ray are currently open on the Official Website.
