From Seattle, Washington, based filmmaker Jeff Ferrell comes the intense psychological horror thriller, and his feature debut, ‘Ghostlight’, a supernatural film about one man’s terrifying night alone in a haunted theater. Come on inside for details and the official trailer.
Andrew wins a radio contest to spend one night alone in a haunted theater on the 80th anniversary of the bloody murder/suicide that occurred within its walls. His prize: $50,000. His task: To spend 12 hours alone inside. The catch: The theater has been reportedly haunted ever since the tragedy 80 years ago, and has been plagued by a series of mysterious deaths in the years since.
A devout disbeliever in the supernatural, Andrew has no qualms about spending the night there. But his wife Mira, who has been haunted by psychic premonitions about the place, feels differently. As Andrew is locked inside the theater for the night, the ghosts and secrets of its past begin to reveal themselves to him. Will he make it through the night to collect his prize? And will he get out before the murderous ghosts take hold of him forever?
Written, produced, directed and edited by Jeff Ferrell, ‘Ghostlight’ stars Brian Sutherland (TV’s Grimm, Fat Kid Rules the World), Lisa Coronado (Morella), Dennis Kleinsmith (Cthulhu, Morella), Russell Hodgkinson (Zombies of Mass Destruction, Big Fish), Eden Campbell, Ramona Freeborn, David Crellin and Jeff Ferrell. Jeff Ferrell has spent his life making art in different creative fields. First beginning as a magician while still in elementary school, then focusing on acting in the theater for over ten years, and then spending several years writing and performing music as a singer and guitarist, he first came to filmmaking in 2008 after finally realizing he needed to tell stories through the most magical of artistic mediums: cinema. He attended the Seattle Film Institute where he produced and directed his first short film ‘Edgar Allan Poe’s Morella’, which gained acclaim at film festivals. After spending the next few years making other short films and music videos, he decided it was time to embark on his first feature film.
